A Campus Minister friend recently sent me this quote about the 10 Commandments:

"They are not arbitrary rules. They trace the way of life as distinct from the way of death."

This was taken from Miraslov Volf's book, which I now want to read, called: Free of Charge: Giving and Forgiving in a Culture Stripped of Grace.
